The incredible IMS MapCreate CD-ROM includes all of Lowrance's acclaimed IMS SmartMap®, IMS WorldMap, U.S. Navigation Aids, U.S. Wrecks and Obstructions and U.S. Rural Roads databases. With LMS-160 Map and our innovative MapSelect and MapCreate software and a PC, you have the power to choose from over 100 IMS mapping databases, and easily download up to two megabytes of additional map overlay detail of your choice into the unit. The LMS-160 Map contains Lowrance's Rockwell-powered 12 parallel channel receiver, for lightning fast position fixes and extreme accuracy and reliability under all conditions. A compact, low-profile, external GPS antenna is included, with a pole and magnetic mounting options.

Featuring an enormous memory capacity up to 1,750 total position points, the LMS-160 Map can store up to 750 waypoints, 1,000 graphic event markers and offers 28 different icon symbols to choose from, for easily identifiable on screen graphics customization. The unit also stores up to three retraceable plot trails (two indexable plus current) of up to 3,000 points per trail, and up to 99 different routes to record any adventure. And rest assured that when you need access to stored information, it will be there thanks to our 10-year internal lithium battery back-up.

The LMS-160 Map also contains easy-to-use, cutting edge GPS software. Included are a unique "initialize from map" feature; Point-and-Map Navigation and Route planning; sunrise/sunset and lunar tables; estimated position error readings; a "Project Waypoint" feature for determining unknown coordinates; a "Position Averaging" feature to help offset accuracy degradation from Selective Availability (SA); instant zoom display ranges with dedicated zoom keys, audible alarms, and much more.

Standard LMS-160 Map sonar features include: Advanced Signal Processing (ASP) for the best picture possible automatically; GRAYLINE® to help separate fish and important structure on or near the bottom from actual bottom and to help indicate changes in bottom hardness; 600 watts of peak-to-peak power (75 watts RMS); user-selectable upper and lower range limits; split-screen zoom, split-screen GPS mapping and sonar; Advanced Fish Symbol I.D. or actual sonar returns modes; programmable window type displays; and easy-to-use page and cursor keypad for on screen feature selection and operation, plus much more.

Adding to the incredible versatility of the LMS-160 Map, users can display speed and two user-defined temperatures, such as livewell and surface temperature, with optional ST-TBK and TS temperature sensors.

The LMS-160 Map can be purchased with Lowrance's patented, low-profile, 192 kHz (20°) Skimmer® transducer for high speed operation in freshwater. Effective underwater coverage with ASP on is up to 60° or more for target identification. The LMS-160 Map is also available in the Saltwater Series pack which includes the 8°, 192 kHz Skimmer® transducer.
