The new Furuno FCV1500 was specially built with professional fishermen in mind. This high-performance, 15" unit is a dual frequency sounder with independent built-in transceivers operating on two frequencies, which are selected from 15, 28, 38, 50, 88, 107 or 200 kHz.

The FCV1500 offers unsurpassed visibility with eight or 16 color targets on a high-resolution CRT display. A custom color menu is available to let you blend colors that represent different levels of sensitivity.

The FCV1500 comes with an internally set 1kW, 2kW or 3kW transmitter.

Many fishermen use the FCV1500 and the Furuno T2000 surface temperature monitor system, using the alarm function to locate rips and warm water eddies.
 

The most popular transducer for the FCV1500 is the bronze thru-hull model #CA50/200-12M. This is often combined with the thru-hull speed/temp sensor model #ST-02MSB.
